AdventHealth for Children is pleased to announce Brea Weiss as the 2017 Chairwoman of the Board. Weiss is a career development professional and played an integral role in the construction of the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children, the only hospital in history to carry the Walt Disney name.

"We are delighted to welcome Brea as the new Chairwoman of the Board," said Marla Silliman, CEO of AdventHealth for Children. "Brea has been an enthusiastic and supportive member of our community and a champion for children’s causes for many years. Her business and leadership skills as our Chairwoman will be invaluable to achieving our mission."

Weiss also dedicates time to take on new volunteer and charity opportunities that benefit children in her community.

"I like to call myself the official cheerleader for the Children’s hospital, but my mentor, Dr. Des Cummings, calls me a passionary for children, a title I deeply love," said Weiss. "It gives me a great sense of pride to spend my time helping others."

Brea and her husband, Al Weiss, have devoted their time and philanthropy to caring for the sickest of children in Orlando.
