Biography

Carlos Javier Blanco, MD, is board certified in pediatric cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Del Valle Medical School in La Paz, Bolivia in 2002 and completed a pediatric residency at Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. He completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2010. He then served as an Advanced Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, completing his fellowship in 2011. Additionally, Dr. Blanco served as an Advanced Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Heart Failure, Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago at McGaw Medical Center, Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois through 2022. Dr. Blanco has 10 years of experience in pediatric cardiology and pediatric cardiac critical care.
