Hospice care is provided wherever your loved one calls home… including a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, hospital, or if they will require a short stay at one of our inpatient units. Your loved one's needs may change from day to day or week to week. Quality of life is the goal, the touchstone that guides care in every moment. Care for you and your loved one may include:

- Home visits based on patient need

Levels of Care
- Routine Care

You may want to manage much of your loved one's day-to-day care without help. But you don't have to do it all alone. Our hospice team supports you with guidance and advice, and visits when you need them to best meet your loved one's needs.
- Respite Care

No matter how much you love a person, caring for a sick loved one can overwhelm your spirit, energy and put your own well-being at risk. A short break can make a big difference. Let us give you short-term help by admitting your loved one to a contracted facility where they'll be cared for while you rest for a maximum of five days. Our hospice team will also continue to visit your loved one during this time.
- Crisis Care

At times, symptoms can become severe. You don't need to feel helpless or alone. Designed for short periods of time, crisis care assists you with the management of your loved one's uncontrolled symptoms. Whether remaining at home or moving temporarily to an inpatient unit, your loved one will receive close observation. This level of care is evaluated frequently to determine necessity.
- Inpatient Care

AdventHealth Hospice Care provides general inpatient care at four locations to patients needing advanced pain control or acute symptom management. Our goal is to help your loved one feel comfortable, so they may transition to another place. Click here for more information about our inpatient units.
We'll Bring What You Need
Having the right equipment on hand helps you feel more equipped to care for your loved one. The right supplies make for smoother care. Your hospice nurse or aide will recommend items your loved one might need so you’re well-prepared. We'll deliver and teach you how to use items such as:
Medication
We provide medications related to your terminal diagnosis for comfort and symptom management. Medication management services are provided by a hospice physician and pharmacist.
Medical Equipment
An electric bed, oxygen, walker, over-the-bed table or wheelchair can help keep your loved one safe, comfortable and more a part of family life.
Disposable Supplies
We’ll bring you gloves, adult briefs, wound and skin care kits, and other items as needed to make day-to-day care easier and safer.
