In 2021 alone…
Our team has cared for over 436,470 patients and the impacts of the donations made to AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation have been felt in almost every service line here at AdventHealth.
Over the course of the last year, our team dispersed an anonymous church donation of $136,000 to uninsured patients.
Our Team Member Care Fund committee assisted 17 team members in need, dispersing over $11,000 raised by our team member giving program for the Associates Sharing Kindness (ASK) fund.
The Foundation worked with the AdventHealth Hendersonville Engineering department to invest nearly $60,000 to the improvement of the Hospital’s ¾-mile walking track.
During our redeployment to The Baby Place in the Fall of 2021, we worked alongside Chloe Harden, BSN, RNC-OB, the new Director of The Baby Place, to identify areas where philanthropic dollars could improve the nursing staff’s ability to better serve our patients. This resulted in the Foundation Board of Directors approval of funds to purchase up to two new vital sign monitors for laboring mothers.
In late December, a much-needed ice machine was funded in the Cancer Services Center for the convenience of our cancer patients.
Overall, 2021 was a prime example of how the donations in support of philanthropic causes near and dear to the hearts of each donor have had a wide-reaching impact on AdventHealth and the local community. Whether you support The Baby Place, your fellow team members, or AdventHealth’s Cancer Services, you can rest assured that 100% of your donation goes to chosen funds ministering to the body, mind, and spirit of patients, team members, and community members within AdventHealth’s philanthropic reach.

Advances Cancer Surgery Technology at AdventHealth Hendersonville
Kenmure Fights Cancer continues its commitment to supporting cancer care at AdventHealth Hendersonville by donating of $51,500.18 to the AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation.
This year’s donation to is designated for the purchase of a Hologic LOCalizer wire-free guidance system. This technology is a wireless radio frequency identification (RFID) breast lesion localization system that enables precision and ease of use for breast surgery guidance. AdventHealth physicians will use it during mass or tumor removal surgeries to pinpoint a more precise area of tissue that should be removed. This means a less invasive surgery for the patient.
“Since 2008, Kenmure residents have committed their generosity towards advancing cancer care for people in Henderson County,” said Sherri Holbert, Director of AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation. “Their support directly impacts the patients we care for at AdventHealth by enabling us to purchase new and necessary technology to further advance cancer care in our hospital. The funding received from Kenmure Fights Cancer this year alone covers the entire cost of the LOCalizer technology, allowing for our hospital to integrate this remarkable technology without any financial strains.”
In the past 13 years, Kenmure Fights Cancer has donated more than $700,000 for cancer care in our community, including at AdventHealth Hendersonville. The program organizes fundraising events through-out the year to raise money to advance cancer care.
“Beyond the gratitude we feel as a Foundation and a Hospital for the generosity of the donors who are so committed to funding Kenmure Fights Cancer initiatives, we know our patients are eternally grateful,” Holbert said, “We cannot thank the residents of Kenmure enough for their 13 years of support.”
