Walter Morgan, MD

Dr. Morgan is board certified in neurology and has completed a fellowship in the subspecialty of vascular neurology. Upon completing extensive training at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, he joins Florida Hospital Medical Group to found the Center for Neurological Health at Florida Hospital Kissimmee, a flagship neurologic care facility, featuring an award-winning stroke center. He earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine; completed a residency in neurology at University of Florida, Shands Hospital and North Florida Veterans Hospital, where he achieved the coveted Chief Resident status; and fulfilled a neurovascular fellowship, also at the University of Florida. Joined by Tariq Irfan, MD, board-certified neurologist, the practice will provide proper diagnosis and premier treatment for an array of neurovascular conditions.

He can provide proper diagnosis and premier treatment for an array of neurovascular conditions; and will be working as an inpatient neurologist (or neurohospitalist) with a focus on advancing stroke prevention and acute stroke care in the community. Additional specialties include the study and treatment of neurological disorders, brain injury, disorder and function, neuromuscular issues, and nerve action and communication. His commitment to advance the field of neurology is evidenced by his extensive research conducted, findings published, awards won, teaching positions filled, conferences attended, presentations given and professional memberships held.
