Vanessa Ortiz-Hernandez, MD

Vanessa Ortiz-Hernández, MD, is a board-certified pediatric urologist. Dr. Ortiz-Hernández was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is fluent in English and Spanish. She attended the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine where she earned a medical degree and completed a residency in urology. She went on to complete a clinical and research fellowship in pediatric urology at the Lebonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital before joining AdventHealth for Children. Dr. Ortiz-Hernández is interested in outreach medical work and has participated in missions in Ecuador and Ghana. She is an active member of the Society of Fetal Urology, the Society of Pediatric Urology and the American Urologic Association.
