Stephen Ruyle, MD

Stephen Ruyle, MD, FACS, is a board-certified urologist and Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, who believes that urology is a field where almost all problems can be solved or made better. He focuses primarily on patients with metastatic prostate cancer, but also treats neurogenic bladder and spinal cord injuries, kidney stone disease, treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with transurethral resection and microwave therapy, and male urinary incontinence. Dr. Ruyle knows that his focus has given him the opportunity to develop close relationships with his patients. He likes that urology is a highly technical field which requires him to be constantly learning new clinical and surgical skills to help his patients.

Dr. Ruyle earned his medical doctorate, with honors, from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, in molecular biology from the University of Colorado. Dr. Ruyle completed his urological surgery training at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Ruyle is a member of the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, fellow in the American College of Surgeons, Large Urology Group Practice Association, Rocky Mountain Urological Society, Colorado and Denver Medical Societies, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Ruyle enjoys some quiet time fly fishing, reading, and listening to music. During his more active times he’s on the trail hiking, skiing, traveling to a new destination or volunteering.
