Sheryl Robin Gruen, MD

The calling to help people began early for Sheryl Robin Gruen, MD. A Texas native, she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a doctor. Today, she's driven to deliver exceptional family medicine care to her patients in the Lampasas, Texas area.

Dr. Gruen completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She went on to receive her medical training at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and to complete her residency training at the prestigious Memorial Hermann Hospital.

She's a board-certified family medicine physician and member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Gruen feels blessed to be able to serve the community she loves, both as a doctor and as a citizen since 1998.

Her great loves – medicine, the outdoors and the arts – are reflected in her involvement with local organizations, including the Lampasas Independent School District's School Health Advisory Council, the Lampasas Association for the Arts and the Cooper Spring Nature Park.

In her free time, Dr. Gruen enjoys fishing, traveling, ballet, needlepoint and the theater.

Dr. Gruen embodies the AdventHealth mission of delivering whole-person care in body, mind and spirit. She is one of only a few female physicians to serve the rural Lampasas area and is committed to offering a comprehensive range of women’s health care services.
