Ronald Fields, MD

Ronald Fields, MD, is a board-certified epileptologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and seizure disorders. With over 20 years of experience providing the highest level of epilepsy care, he provides comprehensive, personalized treatment for adult epilepsy patients, focusing on improving their quality of life. His background in engineering, combined with his extensive medical training, gives him a unique perspective on epilepsy care. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, his medical degree and masters degree in neuroscience from Baylor College of Medicine, and completed residencies in in both internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts, and neurology at the Beth Israel Deaconess where he also completed his epilepsy fellowship training. Dr. Fields focuses on the latest tools and treatments to provide evidence-based epilepsy care. He has extensive experience in the use of anti-seizure medications and is an expert in evaluating patients for advanced therapies, including epilepsy surgery and neurostimulation devices, when medications are not enough. His patients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatments available.
