Peter Mangone, MD

Dr. Mangone is Medical Director of the Ankle Center in the AdventHealth Hendersonville’s Orthopedics Program. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Davidson College and then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Mangone is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, as well as a member of the American Medical Association and the North Carolina Medical Society. Dr. Mangone has more than 20 years of orthopedic experience and has been active in The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) and The Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), as well as, local and regional medical societies throughout his career. In his free time, Dr. Mangone enjoys golfing and studying history and political science. Awards & Recognition Dr. Mangone is fellowship trained and Board-Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. Leading in arthroscopic ligament repair and ankle reconstruction, Dr. Mangone has presented at both national and international meetings about the Anthro Brostom technique, which he co-invented.
