Myka Murphy, NP

Myka Murphy, AGACNP-BC, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine. Myka sees adults for annual physicals, acute infections and illnesses and chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hypothyroidism and osteoporosis.

Myka felt called to medicine at 15 years old when her dad needed open-heart surgery. She saw the hospital staff save his life and provide excellent care. She pursued becoming a nurse practitioner so that she could have long-term relationships with patients. She enjoys getting to know her patients and getting to know them as individuals, understanding their individual goals and values.

Myka earned a Master of Science in Nursing with dual certification as an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP) and family nurse practitioner (FNP) from Colorado State University Pueblo. She’s a DAISY award recipient and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

A Colorado native, Myka likes snowboarding, mountain biking and rock climbing. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, reading and spending time with their dog.

Myka approaches patient care by developing a personalized relationship with each patient. Her goal is to forge a trusting, caring and collaborative relationship in order to provide quality, patient-centered care.
