Monica Thielen, APRN, AGACNP-C

Monica Thielen, APRN, AGACNP-C, is an experienced, certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner with AdventHealth Medical Group Neurology at Shawnee Mission. Before joining the neurology practice, she worked as a nurse practitioner at several AdventHealth Medical Group primary care offices, most recently at Primary Care at Lenexa.

Monica earned her advanced practice registered nurse degree from Wichita State University with a focus on adult patients, including geriatrics. When she was an undergraduate student, Monica had several different majors until nursing found her. She knew after the first few classes that she found her passion.

Monica likes that working as an advanced practice provider allows her to help and care for others, as well as teach and counsel. She enjoys working with her patients to find the best path towards better health and well-being.

Traveling with sons to visit all 50 states, cooking, music, reading, watching sons play soccer and basketball

Monica has been called to give honest, compassionate care for each individual patient, with a plan of healing that's tailored to their specific health goals. This includes holistic care of the mind, body and spirit and working with a team of experts to help achieve those goals.
