Biography

Mohammad Maysara Asfari, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist. After receiving his medical degree from Aleppo University Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria, He joined Emory university as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and worked on many research projects and published in multiple scientific journals. Dr. Asfari completed a residency at Lincoln Medical Center-Weill Cornell College of Medicine. He went on to complete a Gastroenterology fellowship at Augusta University/Georgia Medical College and a Transplant Hepatology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Asfari has previously served as a clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the site Director for the Hospital Medicine-Night Program at Fairview and Avon Hospitals at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
