Michael A. Hughes, MD

Michael A. Hughes, MD, earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. He performed biomedical research at Duke and later at the University of Kansas, publishing original research in the areas of geriatrics, rehabilitation medicine and biomedical engineering. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and his residency training was completed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., during which time he published original research in oncology. Dr. Hughes utilizes IMRT, high dose rate brachytherapy, and stereotactic radiotherapy for all types of cancer and specializes in breast, lung and prostate cancer.
