Maximo Lama, MD, FCCP, is a double board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and internal medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from M.D. Instituto Technologico de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Dr. Lama completed his residency in internal medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the same institution. Dr. Lama was the medical director of Florida Lung, Asthma and Sleep Specialists, and previously worked with AdventHealth as the intensive care unit director in Celebration, FL. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has been an expert pharmaceutical speaker for GlaxoSmithKline and AztraZeneca in Orlando, FL. Dr. Lama has published numerous research works in prestigious medical journals.
