Matthew N Apter, MD

Matthew Apter, MD, is a board-certified and highly experienced gastroenterologist/internal medicine physician whose excellent patient care has been recognized by Orlando Magazine’s Top Doctor Award and consistently outstanding patient satisfaction ratings. A fixture in the Maitland community since 1979, he offers expert evaluation and treatment of all types of digestive tract disorders including but not limited to acid reflux and Barrett’s esophagus, inflammatory bowel disease, gallstones, peptic ulcers, gastritis, intestinal polyps, esophageal strictures, liver disease and gastrointestinal bleeding. A graduate of the George Washington University School of Medicine and member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies, Dr. Apter completed his residency in internal medicine at The Ohio State University in Columbus and pursued gastroenterology fellowships both there and at the University of California in San Francisco.
