Biography

Mahmoud Altawil, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and board eligible electrophysiologist. He completed a joint M.D./M.B.A. degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and University of Miami Patti & Allan Herbert Business School in Miami, Florida. Dr. Altawil received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, followed by a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, where he also completed a fellowship in electrophysiology. His clinical interests are focused on atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias, supraventricular tachycardias, Watchman implantation and device implantations including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders.
