Lauren Kauvar, MD

Lauren Kauvar, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrics physician and gynecologist specializing in pregnancy, miscarriage, contraception, family planning, infertility and female sterilization. She treats gynecological conditions such as fibroids, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, cysts, polyps and pelvic pain, and performs laparoscopic and robotic surgeries and contraception implants. Dr. Kauvar performs routine pap smears, D and C procedures, hysteroscopies, myomectomies, and hysterectomies. She sees patients from their teens through geriatrics.

Dr. Kauvar earned her Doctor of Medicine from The Tel Aviv Sackler School of Medicine in Ramat Aviv, Israel. She completed her internship and residency at The Hofstra University School of Medicine, North Shore, in Long Island, New York.

In her free time, Dr. Kauvar enjoys skiing, golf, travel, cooking, and participating in triathlons.

Dr. Kauvar wants her patients to feel comfortable asking questions. She believes patients should be able to talk with their doctor openly and get correct information. She gets to know patients as people and includes them in the decision-making process for their key. She strives to follow her patients through their life stages and tailors care to meet their needs
