Lauren Cornell, MD

Lauren Cornell, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a special focus on breast health. Dr. Cornell earned a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine followed by residency training in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic Florida. She completed post-residency training as a Mayo Clinic Scholar in breast health at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Yale Smilow Cancer Center. Dr. Cornell’s clinical and research interests include individualized management for women at high risk for breast cancer, unmet needs in breast cancer survivorship and hereditary breast cancer syndromes. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has been the recipient of multiple teaching and patient care awards. She serves as co-chair for the Survivorship Committee for the National Consortium of Breast Centers and has been invited to speak at the regional and national levels due to her unique expertise.
