Kevin Vankorlaar, LMHC

Kevin Vankorlaar, PhD, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years of clinical experience providing individual, family and marital therapy. He has a Master of Arts in religious education and a Master of Arts in marriage and family counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas, along with a Doctor of Philosophy in family therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Dr. Vankorlaar has dedicated his career to providing inpatient and outpatient mental health care in hospital settings, residential placement facilities and community centers. He has helped patients of every age develop the skills and tools they need to successfully take control of their mental health while continuing to build and strengthen their relationships with those around them.

As a husband and father of four, Kevin devotes much of his time and interests to his family. He also enjoys traveling, fishing and golfing.

As a therapist, Kevin's goal is to help his clients navigate through change. Clients come to counseling when life is tough and challenging, often when they are stuck in unhealthy patterns. Kevin's goal is to assist clients to identify these unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaviors and focus on the positive changes they need to make in their lives.
