Kamy Kemp, MD

Kamy Kemp, MD, is the founding physician at AdventHealth Medical Group's breast surgery practice in Winter Park. She was recruited to Orlando in 2006 because of a rare set of skills shared by only a handful of physicians in the country. Having completed a fellowship in both surgical oncology and breast imaging, she developed a novel concept in which the medical doctor can do the image-guided biopsy and the surgery! Seeing the devastating impact for patients to be bounced for weeks between physicians who could only operate and imaging centers that do biopsies, her mission was to create a living-room type environment to perform all services in a single appointment. Thus, a patient who might have spent weeks getting through the system could now in one appointment get a second opinion on their breast imaging, get a stereotactic or ultrasound-guided biopsy, and meet with the fellowship trained breast surgeon.

Awards & Recognition

Dr. Kemp's training includes a general surgery residency, pancreatic cancer research fellowship, surgical oncology fellowship, liver and pancreatic surgery fellowship, and a breast imaging fellowship.

Differentiators

Her institutions of training include MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Mroz Baier Breast Care Clinic.

Through the process described above, Dr. Kemp is able to both diagnose and cure breast cancer - which is her passion.
