Julie Stretz, CNM, WHNO-BC, is a certified nurse midwife. Julie provides an array of care for women, including annual contraception counseling, well-woman exams, preconception care and prenatal, pregnancy and postpartum care. Julie also provides treatment for PCOS, infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding, urinary and vaginal infections, hormone replacement, anxiety and depression and postpartum depression.
As part of her practice, Julie performs IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, intrauterine insemination (IUI), endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, BioTe testosterone pellet administration, vaginal deliveries, repair of perineal lacerations, and serves as surgical first assistant in cesarean deliveries.
Julie is a compassionate, empathetic Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s health Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about providing skilled, knowledgeable expertise, reassurance in moments of fear, and answers and solutions to problems when they arise. Julie is inspired by the strength of women and the story each woman has to tell. She also has a special commitment to helping new parents with resources as they navigate life with a newborn, and guides parents to prioritize their own well-being and health as well as their baby’s.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, going on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado College of Nursing at Anschutz and a post-graduate certification as a certified nurse midwife.
