John Paul Greenwood, MD

John Paul Greenwood, MD, is a Board-certified pulmonary, sleep medicine and critical care physician with AdventHealth Medical Group Pulmonology at South Overland Park.

Dr. Greenwood's clinical experience includes primary care, emergency medicine, critical care (including in an e-ICU), pulmonary care and sleep medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and remained at KU to complete his internal medicine residency. He then completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care, and later a fellowship in sleep medicine, both at KU. He also completed the physician leadership program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Dr. Greenwood's service and leadership include work on the Medical Executive Committee and the Credentialing Committee at Saint Luke's South Hospital, as well as director of the ICU. He has volunteered with the children's program at Rose Brooks Center and as an adult leader with Boy Scouts of America. He has earned a number of professional and civic honors, including Physician of the Quarter at Saint Luke's South Hospital and Rose Brooks Center Volunteer of the Year.

On a personal level, Dr. Greenwood is an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, camping and hiking, as well as bringing the outdoors inside with terrariums, paludariums and aquariums.
