James Brien, MD

James Brien, MD, is a board‑certified urologist with AdventHealth | Asheville Urological Associates. He earned his medical degree from the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, completed General Surgery internship and Urology residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and then completed a fellowship in Laparoscopic/Robotic Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Brien specializes in minimally invasive treatment of prostate and kidney cancers, BPH and kidney stones — offering personalized surgical and nonsurgical options across Asheville and Hendersonville.
