G. Hunter Myers, MD, FACC, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist. For Dr. Myers, getting to "the heart" of the matter is his greatest passion. He chose to concentrate on cardiology because of his desire to alleviate patients’ pain and sickness in the body's most important organ.
Dr. Myers has been in practice for over 30 years and stays up to date on leading-edge medical advances to give his patients the very best care possible, bringing the necessary knowledge and compassion needed to heal every patient in body, mind and spirit.
Dr. Myers earned his medical degree at University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He then completed a residency program in internal medicine where he served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Beyond his dedication to providing his patients with exceptional cardiac care, Dr. Myers leads an active lifestyle. He is a passionate runner and has completed marathons in all 50 states. He is an avid traveler, and his love for exploration has taken him to over a dozen countries. He looks forward to seeing as much of our planet as possible.
