Franziska Huettner, MD, PhD, FACS

Franziska Huettner, MD, PHD, FACS, was raised by physician parents in Germany and followed their footsteps into medicine. She earned her medical degree and PhD at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena, Germany, before moving to the United States to pursue further training.

She completed two residencies, one in general surgery and one in plastic and reconstructive surgery, becoming board-certified in both. After completing fellowship training in aesthetic & breast plastic surgery and one year in practice at the Cleveland Clinic, she held a three-year position as Assistant Professor at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

In 2017, she moved to New York to become Director of Breast Reconstructive Surgery at SBH and to pursue her own private practice. She ultimately expanded and opened a second private practice here in Lady Lake, Florida in January 2023 and has now joined AdventHealth as a Breast Reconstructive Specialist. Dr. Huettner is dedicated to whole-person patient care, considering body, mind and spirit.
