Erol Belli, MD

Erol Belli, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon at AdventHealth Tampa’s Pepin Heart Institute. He serves as the chief of cardiothoracic surgery and cares for patients ages 18 and older. Dr. Belli is a helper at heart, drawn to cardiac surgery because it allows him to combine his passion for helping others with his fascination for the intricacies of the heart. Dr. Belli earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida and completed his general surgery residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, where he served as chief resident. He continued his training with a thoracic surgery residency at the University of Florida, serving as administrative chief resident. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and is an active member of several medical societies. Dr. Belli has published numerous peerreviewed medical articles and spent nearly 10 years in academic medicine as an Associate Professor of Surgery and a leader at major academic medical centers in Florida. Dr. Belli is highly regarded as a skilled and accomplished surgeon in the Southeast.

In his free time, he enjoys boating, golfing and spending time with family.
