Edwin R. Cruz-Zeno, MD

Edwin R. Cruz-Zeno, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist with additional subspecialty certification in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and over 30 years of clinical experience. During his residency program in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation he had the honor of serving as Chief Resident. Has held the position of Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pediatrics at New York Medical College, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. In addition, it has overseen teaching pediatric rehabilitation medicine skills to medical students, as well as Pediatric and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residents. Beyond his medical career, he enjoys track & field, the outdoors and has been actively involved in community service, including leadership roles in the Boy Scouts of America, Youth Track & Field organizations, and the Easter Seals of Connecticut. He is fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

Dr. Cruz-Zeno works closely with families and other medical/health providers to properly diagnose, treat and prevent functional disabilities in pediatric patients in order to maximize long term functional outcomes while minimize the psychological, social and vocational effects of disabilities, thus complementing the care delivered by other physicians and health care practitioners.
