Dr. Eddie Needham is a board-certified family medicine physician and the Director of the AdventHealth Family Medicine Residency program. Originally trained as an industrial engineer at the Georgia Institute of Technology, he switched gears to pursue his medical degree at Emory University. He next undertook his family practice residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, followed by four additional years of service in the US Army at Fort Benning, GA. He returned to Emory as faculty and served as the program director of the school’s family medicine residency program for eight years before taking his current position with AdventHealth. Dr. Needham has earned numerous awards for his teaching and clinical acumen.

Offshore and inshore fishing, collecting shells (especially cowries and cone shells), snorkeling, family (wife and 5 grown children, board games with family.
