Dawn Best, ACNP-BC

Dawn Best, ACNP, is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner focusing on cardiothoracic surgery. She treats adult patients in the Ocala area. Dawn was drawn to a career in surgical nursing after her father had early-onset coronary artery disease and underwent open-heart surgery while she was in college. Dawn received her Master of Science in Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She is certified in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

When not caring for patients, she enjoys reading, riding bikes, exploring nature and spending time with her family and dogs.

Dawn works collaboratively with you and a multidisciplinary team to accomplish the desired treatment goals with care and compassion. She is committed to treating patients with kindness and empathy as if they were her own family.
