David Onofrey, MD

Dr. Onofrey is part of the AdventHealth Surgery Specialist's team. He has been caring for people across Western North Carolina since 2006. He is board-certified in General Surgery and has extensive training in a variety of specialized care approaches including endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical training. His surgical skills also include hernia, gastric, breast and colon care. Dr. Onofrey earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed his General Surgery residency at St. Vincent's Hospital Medical Center where he remained for an additional year to serve as Chief Resident of General Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Onofrey enjoys spending time with his wife and children. A few of his favorite activities included hiking, biking and practicing photography.
