Darshan B Thakkar, MD

Darshan Thakkar, MD, is a general surgeon specializing in robotics surgery. He sees patients ages 18 and older needing care relating to robotic and laparoscopic hernias, bowel, gallbladder, stomach, appendix, thyroid, breast surgery, hemorrhoids, and more complex and advanced surgeries. He also performs upper face Botox, as well as the removal of malignant (like melanoma, SCC, BSC) and benign skin lesions and varicose veins.

Dr. Thakkar completed his medical degree at Baroda Medical College in Baroda, India, and he is board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Thakkar is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.

In his spare time, Dr. Thakkar enjoys playing piano, karaoke and bicycling. He also enjoys traveling and has visited six continents, including Antarctica, with plans to visit his final continent, Australia.

Dr. Thakkar believes in the importance of active, attentive listening and treating his patients with the utmost care, allowing them the time to communicate their concerns thoroughly.
