Claudia Wendell, MD, is an experienced, Board-certified family medicine physician with AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at College Boulevard, formerly known as Leawood Family Care.
Dr. Wendell (pronounced wen-dle) previously practiced medicine in Wichita, Kansas and prior to that, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She has dedicated much of her career to caring for families in the primary care setting and she also has experience in urgent, emergency and inpatient care. She especially enjoys providing women’s health and pediatric care.
A native of Colombia, South America, Dr. Wendell is fluent in Spanish. She has earned a number of honors throughout her career, including being named Best Intern Physician among all Colombian medical schools. When she's not at the office, she enjoys dancing, doing puzzles, being outdoors, reading, planning vacations and traveling with her family.
Dr. Wendell welcomes new patients of all ages, including newborns.
