He brings more than 15 years of experience in Internal Medicine to the Palm Harbor community, as well as a decade of experience in emergency and critical care medicine. It's this wide spectrum of expertise that helps him deliver exceptional primary care to his patients. Dr. Lay received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean, completed his residency training at St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, Missouri and is board certified in Internal Medicine and he now feels blessed to work alongside his wife, Linda Diedrich, MD, who is also a member of the AdventHealth team. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Lay enjoys traveling, golfing and biking.

Dr. Lay is passionate about preventive care for adults, such as cancer screenings and immunizations, diabetes and high blood pressure management, senior care, men’s health and mental health.
