Brett Abernathy, MD, is a board-certified urologist who accepts patients 18 and over who are experiencing urological disorders. Dr. Abernathy's specialties include stone disease, genitourinary cancer, prostate disease, and vasectomy. He believes urology is a wonderful blend of medicine and surgery which allows him to have meaningful relationships with his patients and assist in their care.
Dr. Abernathy received his medical doctorate from Northwestern University and his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of Colorado. He completed his residency in urology at Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Abernathy has provided a profound influence in Colorado as the Chief of Surgery (Lutheran Medical Center), a member of the Rocky Mountain Urologic Society, the Denver Medical Society, and the Colorado Medical Society.
Even with all of those commitments, Dr. Abernathy enjoys his time with his family and participates in tennis, cycling, and running. He even makes time to hit the slopes.
