Bhaswanth Dhanireddy, MD, is an experienced, Board-certified radiation oncologist with the AdventHealth Cancer Center Shawnee Mission.
After earning his medical degree from Kurnool Medical College in India, Dr. Dhanireddy went on to complete post-graduate studies in the field of radiotherapy and oncology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, one of the top medical institutes in India. He then moved to the United States to complete a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Kentucky, including service as chief resident.
Dr. Dhanireddy has published scientific articles in many national and international peer-reviewed journals and served as a reviewer of scientific articles for reputed medical journals. His research work was presented at multiple national and international meetings and he has earned such awards as the Young Oncology Research Essay Award at the American Radium Society meeting (2018), RSNA Resident/Fellow Research Award (2018) and European Society of Medical Oncology clinical visit fellowship award (2017).
His specialized training includes:
- image guided brachytherapy in gynecological malignancies
- LINAC & GK based Radiosurgery
- Yttrium-90 Radioembolization
- Cs-131 seed brachytherapy for, reirradiation of recurrent gynecological malignancies
- particle therapy training at the National Center for Oncological Hadron Therapy in Italy
