Amit K. Taggar, MD, is board certified in general surgery with advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive bariatric surgery. Dr. Taggar completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he achieved the rank of Chief Resident. He went on to complete his fellowship at UCSF Fresno under the direction of the world-renowned surgeon Dr. Kelvin Higa. Dr. Taggar has been performing weight loss surgery since 2008, with a focus on laparoscopic Roux-En-Y gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric banding and revisional bariatric surgery. He is proficient in Hindi and Punjabi.
