Biography

Amber Reyes, DNP, CNM, is a board-certified nurse midwife with over 13 years of experience who earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Midwifery from Baylor University in Dallas, TX. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Graceland University in Independence, MO. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Amber has been a faculty member at Keiser University in Orlando, FL, since 2018, teaching nurse education. She was a registered nurse in labor and delivery at AdventHealth Winter Park for several years, working directly with obstetricians to care for women in triage, antepartum, labor, delivery and immediate postpartum. At the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County, Amber developed and implemented new policies and procedures related to obstetrical care for women with substance abuse disorder. She began her nursing career in 2010, caring for labor and delivery patients in Ocoee, FL.

In her free time, Amber enjoys cooking, going to the pool and beach with her family, watching a good Netflix show or movie, and being a lifelong learner.
