Amandeep Kalra, MD, FACP

Amandeep Kalra, M.D., FACP, is a Board-certified neuro-oncologist and Director of Neurooncology at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute. He specializes in the treatment of brain and spine tumors, such as all kinds of gliomas and central nervous system lymphoma. His professional interests include conducting clinical research and trials and teaching medical student/residents. Prior to joining AdventHealth, Dr. Kalra served as neuro-oncologist and Medical Director of the Sarah Cannon HCA Midwest Brain and Spine Cancer Institute in Kansas City, MO. He was also an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He also served as Neurooncologist at Ivy League Dartmouth Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Kalra earned his medical degree at Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana, India. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Wright Center of Graduate Medical education in Scranton, PA and a neurology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He went further to complete neuro-oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, N.Y. Dr. Kalra is active member of several professional organizations. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians/American Society of Internal Medicine and a member of American Academy of Neurology, member, American Society of Clinical Oncology and member, Society of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Kalra was also recipient of Scholarship Award by Society of Neurooncology for Clinical Trials Workshop. To advance the field of cancer care, Dr. Kalra conducts clinical research and trials. He has published numerous abstracts and papers in his field of specialty. Committed to providing patient-centered care, Dr. Kalra focuses on the patient, not simply the disease.
