Uosife Alfahd, MD, FRCSC

Uosife Alfahd, MD, FRCSC, is an expert orthopedic surgeon dedicated to providing whole-person, compassionate care for adults ages 18 and older. He is committed to helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love. Dr. Alfahd is fluent in English and Arabic. Dr. Alfahd’s calling to medicine began in high school when he watched his father struggle with a chronic knee condition that limited his independence and aected his family. After a skilled orthopedic surgeon restored his father’s mobility through knee surgery, the transformation was life-changing — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Inspired by that experience, Dr. Alfahd pursued a career in orthopedic surgery to help others reclaim their quality of life in the same meaningful way. Dr. Alfahd earned his Doctor of Medicine from Al Arab Medical University in Benghazi, Libya. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada, followed by a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and limb reconstructive surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital at the University of Toronto. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Alfahd stays active through regular exercise and enjoys cheering on his children in their sports activities and spending quality time with his family.
