Biography

Dr. Tyler Woodworth is an interventional pain management physician specializing in non-surgical treatments for spine, joint, muscle, and nerve pain, including spinal injections. Fellowship-trained at Barrow Brain and Spine in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Woodworth brings advanced expertise in image-guided procedures that target pain at its source and help patients return to active, fulfilling lives. In addition to procedural care, Dr. Woodworth emphasizes lifestyle strategies—such as optimizing diet, increasing physical activity, and improving sleep and stress management—as integral parts of pain management. He believes these measures not only reduce pain and inflammation but also support long-term functional improvement. His training includes a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Utah, where he served as Education Co-Chief and participated in the Lifestyle Medicine Curriculum Leadership Program. During residency, Dr. Woodworth discovered his passion for interventional spine care, which combines precision procedures with a holistic approach to patient health. Dr. Woodworth treats conditions such as back and neck pain, sciatica, disc herniations, arthritis, sports injuries, and nerve-related pain. His procedural expertise includes cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections; radiofrequency ablations for facet arthritis; ultrasound-guided joint injections; vertebral augmentation for compression fractures; EMG and nerve conduction studies; and spinal cord stimulator trials. By joining Neurosurgery One, Dr. Woodworth becomes part of a multidisciplinary team that includes neurosurgeons and other pain specialists. This collaborative model ensures that patients receive the right treatment at the right time — whether that’s an injection, continued conservative care, or surgical consultation. “I take the time to understand my patients’ goals and tailor treatments to their unique needs,” Dr. Woodworth says. “My aim is to help them not just reduce pain but also regain the ability to live the life they want.”
