Biography

Tyler A. Tumey, DO, is a urologist with over five years of urologic surgery training and research experience. He completed urologic surgery internship and residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas, and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dr. Tumey’s research has focused on urologic cancer outcomes, including prostate, testicular, kidney and bladder cancers, as well as retroperitoneal lymph node dissection for metastatic testicular cancer. His academic work includes peer reviewed publications, research abstracts and presentations. He has also been recognized with the Endoscopic Excellence Award, The Hustle Award and top national performance on the Urology Inservice Exam. He has also been recognized with the Endoscopic Excellence Award, Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery award, and the Academic Excellence Award by the University of Texas Health Science Center.
