Tim Zhao, MD, PhD

Tim Zhao, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurologist with specialized fellowship training in neuromuscular medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his neurology residency at the same institution and holds a PhD in Physiology from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University in China. Dr. Zhao brings extensive experience in managing complex neuromuscular conditions, including peripheral neuropathies, myopathies and motor neuron diseases, and is skilled in advanced procedures such as EMG/NCS, QSART testing and botulinum toxin injections. He previously served as a neurologist at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio, where he led both inpatient and outpatient neurology services and established the system’s first autonomic testing lab. Outside of medicine, he enjoys teaching, presenting at conferences and contributing to neuroscience research.
