Thomas Manchester, MD

Dr. Tom Manchester, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon who has been helping patients restore their health through surgical care since 2005. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Manchester was drawn to medicine by a desire to help people who are suffering. He values the opportunity to work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to restore health after illness, injury or trauma and believes surgery can have a profound impact on a patient's quality of life. His clinical interests include hernia repair, breast cancer, colon cancer, gallbladder disease, appendicitis, traumatic injuries and wound care. He performs a variety of surgical procedures, including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, laparoscopic hernia repair, partial mastectomy, inguinal hernia repair and ventral hernia repair. Dr. Manchester earned his undergraduate degree from Pomona College, attended medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his surgical internship and general surgery residency at Intermountain Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Manchester is committed to service beyond the operating room. He participates in community health initiatives and global mission work and recently served in Guyana on a general surgery and women's health mission with the Sisters of Mercy.

Dr. Manchester believes surgical care begins with understanding each patient as a whole person. He works closely with patients to understand their goals, develop a treatment plan together and help restore them to the life they want to live. His approach is grounded in partnership, compassion, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for every patient.
