Biography

Shane Ragland, MD, is a psychiatrist who earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Ragland is completing his psychiatry residency at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in Aventura, Florida, and completed an electroconvulsive therapy mini fellowship at Emory University in Decatur, Georgia. Before joining AdventHealth, he held graduate medical education and medical student teaching roles at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital. His clinical interests include mood disorders, addiction psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and interventional psychiatry. Dr. Ragland has contributed to peer-reviewed psychiatric research focused on mood disorders, neuromodulation and treatment outcomes.
