Shaista Usmani, MD

As a board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist-perinatologist, Dr. Usmani provides pediatric care the youngest residents of Central Florida. Since 1971, Dr. Usmani has been honing her specialization in all aspects of pediatric medicine, with a focus on the care of critical care, high-risk and premature children, as well as behavior disorders and attention deficit disorder (ADD). Thus, families facing some of the more sensitive pediatric, adolescent and teenage issues seek the unique brand of care provided by Dr. Usmani .Dr. Usmani was an associate professor of Pediatrics at the University of Florida in Gainesville, following time spent at Cornell University School of Medicine in New York City for a combined 20 years. During her time in academia and university hospital setting, she published a large amount of articles and abstracts in prestigious, peer-reviewed publications, such as the Journal of Pediatrics, American Journal of Gastroenterology and Journal of Pediatric Surgery. Further, Dr. Usmani has presented her papers at national meetings for well known associations, such as Society of Pediatric Research and American Academy of Pediatrics.
