Mikala Hughes, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse caring for patients of all ages. As part of her practice, she performs annual wellness exams, provides care for acute and chronic illnesses and focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. Mikala strives to create a judgment-free zone for her patients. She believes health care works best when patients feel heard, supported and involved in their care. She is a proponent of lifestyle changes and is available every step of the way to help her patients achieve their best mental and physical health. Mikala earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Chamberlain University in Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daytona State College in Daytona Beach and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University.
