Marie Peterson, PA-C

Marie Peterson, PA, is a physician assistant specializing in orthopedic care, with a focus on helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to the activities they enjoy most. She is passionate about orthopedics for its ability to deliver tangible improvements in patients’ lives and for the specialty’s continued advancements in medical and surgical techniques that support better outcomes and faster recovery. Marie’s call to medicine is rooted in her desire to help people maintain mobility and quality of life. She finds fulfillment in seeing patients make meaningful progress and values being part of a collaborative care team that supports patients through every stage of treatment. She treats a variety of orthopedic conditions, including joint pain, osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, and fractures. Marie performs knee injections and assists Dr. Dennis in total hip and knee replacement surgeries. Marie completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She went on to earn her Physician Assistant degree from Northwestern University, where she developed a strong foundation in orthopedic and musculoskeletal care.

Outside of work, Marie enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. Her favorite activities include running, skiing, and hiking, and she is a devoted fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Marie approaches care with patient education, shared decision-making, and individualized treatment plans. She works closely with patients to ensure they understand their condition and treatment options, with the goal of improving pain, restoring function, and supporting overall well-being.
