Luv Hajirawala, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Dr. Hajirawala is a Colorectal and General Surgeon double board-certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. His practice spans a wide range of illnesses including, but not limited to, cancers of the colon and rectum, anal cancer, anorectal warts/ dysplasia, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), benign and malignant appendiceal diseases, gallbladder disease, hernias, pilonidal cysts and anorectal conditions including hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas.

Dr. Hajirawala specializes in advanced minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgeries, which lead to accelerated patient recovery and improved post-surgical outcomes. He holds the designation of Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), a recognition awarded to surgeons who meet rigorous standards for quality and safety in surgical care.

Upon completing his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of South Florida, Dr. Hajirawala attended FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami for his doctorate. He then completed his General Surgery residency, followed by a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA. Throughout his training, Dr. Hajirawala garnered numerous accolades, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honors society and yearly awards for superlative academic and clinical performance. He served as the administrative chief resident during his final year of residency and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society during his fellowship. Dr. Hajirawala is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Hajirawala enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, or engaging in various home improvement projects.
