Kiryn Trask, PA-C

Kiryn Trask, PA, is a dedicated physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery. She provides comprehensive orthopedic care and performs a variety of in-office procedures, including joint injections, casting and wound care. She is committed to helping patients recover from injury, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy. Kiryn earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She began her orthopedic career at Cornerstone Orthopedics in 2012, working alongside Dr. Ocel in foot and ankle care. In 2014, she transitioned to sports medicine, working with Dr. Hsin and continuing to expand her expertise in athletic and activity-related injuries. She has also worked with CU Sports Medicine and the Steadman Clinic, further broadening her experience in advanced orthopedic and sports medicine care. Her passion for medicine began in college following a knee injury that required surgery. Fascinated by the healing process and inspired by the impact of compassionate care, she pursued a career in healthcare—first earning a degree in biology and working as an EMT. She has provided medical care internationally in underserved communities and remains deeply committed to serving others during their moments of greatest need. She believes orthopedics is a practical and impactful field that touches nearly everyone at some point in life, and she finds fulfillment in helping patients heal and achieve their activity goals.

A Colorado native, Kiryn loves staying active outdoors. She enjoys hiking, biking, running and skiing with her three children. Her family values camping, sports and traveling together. She is also involved with a nonprofit organization that conducts international medical mission trips, providing care to underserved populations around the world.

Kiryn’s care philosophy centers on kindness, compassion and thoroughness. She is passionate about patient education and believes that informed patients are empowered patients. She takes time to understand each individual’s goals and works collaboratively to prevent, identify and treat orthopedic issues that limit their quality of life. She considers herself an advocate for her patients every step of the way.
